I am Javier Lopez De la Morena, a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in some of the world’s foremost technology companies, including IBM, Red Hat, Microsoft, and VMware. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for starting software businesses and departments from the ground up, as I did with the financial sector at Red Hat, the entire business in Iberia for CloudBees, and more recently with Tanzu within VMware. My expertise lies in driving digital transformation, workload modernization, and hybrid cloud solutions. At VMware, I spearheaded the growth of the Modern Application Business. At CloudBees, I was in charge of the Country Business and reached a multimillion-dollar business from scratch. At Microsoft, I managed the comprehensive business for Santander Europe as the Global Account Manager. In Red Hat, I started the financial sector from scratch and eventually acted as the Global Account Manager for BBVA and Santander, securing multimillion-dollar deals with both. My academic credentials include a Bachelor’s in Mathematics, PhD Studies in Mathematical Engineering, an MBA from Instituto de Empresa Business School, an Executive Program in Financial Innovation and Technology from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles, and a Master’s in Machine Learning and Data Management from MIT.
